Second Stage Round 5: Novy Jicin - Sokol Prazsky 66-80

Very significant was Sokol Prazsky's (#2) 80-66 road victory against 3rd placed Novy Jicin. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Guard Adam Ruzicka (194-2004) nailed 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and Matous Pelikan (196-2001) accounted for 20 points. Five Sokol Prazsky players scored in double figures. Patrik Svoboda (204-2004) came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and guard Adam Ivanek (199-2004) added 9 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Novy Jicin in the defeat. Sokol Prazsky have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Loko Plzen and Zlin. Novy Jicin at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Sokol Prazsky will play against Opava 2010 (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Novy Jicin will play against USK Praha B and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
